WTF IS OIL PULLING + WHY I’M HOOKED

benefits-of-oil-pulling

The idea behind it is pretty simple

The oil is “sticky” and when you swish it around in your mouth bacteria gets stuck in the oil & dissolves.

  1. Pick an oil, you can use ORGANIC coconut oil or any other vegetable based oil (Sesame/ Sunflower/ or Olive). I prefer coconut cause I like the taste & it also has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, & anti-inflammatory properties. Put anywhere from a teaspoon to a tablespoon, depending on what you can handle
  2. Swish in your mouth for 20 minutes.

I know, I know you are freaking out about the 20 minute thing, but TRUST me when I say- it flies by. Something about the whole process is relaxing to me. No talking, just swishing.

3. Pull the oil through your teeth & make sure NOT to swallow it (you don’t want to swallow the bacteria you are trying to get rid of).

4. When your timer beeps, spit out the oil into a plastic baggy or directly into the trash. Don’t spit it down the drain cause the oil will solidify again & could mess up your pipes.

Afternoon Actuation

Good Morning

Take a minute on this beautiful day and smell the flowers, look up at the clouds or truly enjoy the ones you are with. Whatever that “thing” is that has been holding you back know that you can let it go. All complications in life have a solution. Take a moment to enjoy the simpler life today. Once you have your clear head it is time to brainstorm.

Essential Oils Experimenting

After a busy day playing hard Chloe was wiped out and getting a little creakiness. Well it was a little close to bed time so I decided to experiment with my oils again. Using my CALM essential oil I used just one drop and wiped it on her temples and forehead. Her eyes looked heavy. Chloe looks right at me and says mommy I can feel it in my sleep and it smells good. Even though she did not sleep I consider it a win, she was calm and did not have any temper tantrums that night.

Work With Me

be youDo you ever feel like this and just can’t wait to break free?
Well I know I did!

I  have two different degrees and still felt lost.  I realized  that with each job I learned new skills but each job just felt like something was missing. I wanted to have PASSION.

Its as though I was just moving though the motions of life without a real goal or thought to what the end goal was. I was told I needed to go to college, so I did. Get a full time job and I did. I was not happy with my life. Sadly, I came to realize that who I had become, did not reflect my truest desires.

I was living a life others had planned for me and I was uninspired, unfulfilled, and craving something more, something ME.

I wanted to live a life I loved, to make my passions my career, and to make choices that reflected my values and my heart.

The problem was, I didn’t trust myself. I had become so programmed to do and become someone I was not, I really had to take a step back and look deep inside of myself. I was scared. I was going to have to walk away from everything I had worked for and the person I had become in order to be who I really wanted to be. I had to be strong and courageous.

Integrating our passions with our career should come easy. We should have a right to do what we love.
